Tooth Brushing Hands-On Training
Train Your Child for a Healthier Smile and Lifelong Oral Health

Tooth brushing is not merely a daily routine; it is a lifelong health skill that requires correct technique, guidance, and consistent practice. Dental plaque, the main cause of tooth decay and gum disease, accumulates on multiple tooth surfaces and often missed areas. Research shows that children and adults frequently fail to clean these critical zones effectively, increasing disease risk. Since childhood habits persist into adulthood, early training is essential. Chetu Kids Club introduces the Meditative Tooth Brushing (MTB) Program to build awareness, technique, and mindful practice for lifelong oral health.

Meditative Tooth Brushing (MTB) Program
Meditative Tooth Brushing (MTB) Program is designed to make daily oral care logical, simple, and effective by combining scientific brushing technique with awareness and mindfulness. It helps children, parents, and teachers understand not only how to brush, but also why proper oral care is essential for long term oral and overall health. The term “meditative” refers to a calm, focused and aware state of practice where brushing is done with attention to each movement, surface and sensation rather than as a rushed or automatic habit. This mindful approach improves both the quality and consistency of oral hygiene.
MTB is built on three core principles: Awareness which develops understanding of the link between oral health and overall well-being; Self Care which encourages daily responsibility and habit formation for maintaining oral hygiene; and Mindful Practice which promotes a focused step by step brushing approach that improves effectiveness and reduces missed areas. Together, these principles transform tooth brushing from a mechanical routine into a conscious health practice.
Protocol
Based on core principles of awareness, self-care and mindful practice, the MTB protocol follows a simple Clean, Rinse, Massage (CRM) approach, designed to translate awareness and mindfulness into a practical daily routine. Each step is structured to ensure complete oral coverage while keeping the process simple, logical, and easy to follow for children and guided by parents or teachers.
Clean
The first step focuses on the mechanical removal of dental plaque and food debris from all tooth surfaces, gums, tongue, and other oral areas. This is a technique driven process that requires a proper toothbrush and correct brushing method to effectively disrupt plaque biofilm. Cleaning is performed without toothpaste for about 1 minute, allowing focused attention on thorough plaque removal and coverage of all surfaces.
Rinse
The first step focuses on the mechanical removal of dental plaque and food debris from all tooth surfaces, gums, tongue, and other oral areas. This is a technique driven process that requires a proper toothbrush and correct brushing method to effectively disrupt plaque biofilm. Cleaning is performed without toothpaste for about 1 minute, allowing focused attention on thorough plaque removal and coverage of all surfaces.
Massage
The final step uses a small amount of fluoridated toothpaste on the toothbrush. All tooth surfaces and the gum line are gently massaged for at least 1 minute using circular and directionally guided brushing movements. This allows fluoride to interact with enamel, supporting remineralization, strengthening tooth structure, and maintaining healthy gingival tissues.
